Nancy Warren Rambeau

October 16, 1957 – March 4, 2026

Nancy Warren Rambeau, daughter of Vernon Warren and Lois Haugen, was welcomed into the world October 16th, 1957, and sadly made her departure March 4th, 2026.

Nancy is survived by her parents- Vernon Warren and Lois (Hollingsworth) Haugen; her siblings-Karin Warren (the late Rus) Steele, Marial (Tom) Sims, Marcus Warren, and Marjorie (Curt) Webster. Her baby sister Polly and estranged husband Danny Ray Rambeau preceded her in death. She is also survived by what she felt were her greatest accomplishments and her purest joy; her children, Curtis Rambeau, Rachelle (Matt) Walter, and Raeleen Rambeau, and her grandchildren, Kyndal Woods, Payton Pearson, Bobby Dickson, Brenna Snider, Jonah Walter, Kamryn Walter, and Kiyah Walter. She had also been lucky enough to have three great grandchildren- Koah, Mateo, & Paloma. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews whom she loved as much as she did her very own children.

Nancy was blessed with many exceptional talents. She was creative and saw beauty and value in things most would not. If she came upon an interesting rock, you could bet it found a home in her pocket. She was a natural artist, who gifted us with beautiful, original works of art and looked forward to making custom costumes and decor for the holidays. She spent hours with her grandchildren, showing them the magic of the hidden beauty in things that most would overlook. She was appointed as family cake baker and decorator and loved taking special orders from each child. God equipped her with a gentleness that was felt by wildlife, as was seen by their calmness when she approached them in a way no one else could. Nancy was a loving caretaker and wanted to help and comfort those who needed it. She often said she wished she could take on the pain of those she loved, and she sincerely meant it. She was a natural athlete who could throw a ball from the outfield as well as any of the guys, and she usually got more skips off a flat rock than anyone else.

Nancy was always unique and special, but she truly became one in a million when she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. Though debilitating much of the time, she accepted it with grace and did her best to live her life as normally as possible. She had been in chronic pain for the last several years, but with stubborn determination she fought with the heart of a warrior. That very heart that made room for everyone she met. Her door was always open, and everyone was welcomed unconditionally. She always managed to set an extra plate at the table despite not having an abundance of resources. She didn’t travel much, have a new car, or fancy things, but she was rich beyond measure in the love she shared and received. That alone affirms a life well lived. She made a difference and will be missed by many.

In honor of Nancy’s memory, we encourage you, going forward, to try and look at the world through her eyes. Offer acceptance and embrace forgiveness. Let the little stuff go. Never miss an opportunity to tell someone how much they mean to you. Have long, meaningful conversations and give unlimited hugs just because. Slow down and see the beauty in things we often take for granted. Pick up that rock, put it in your pocket, and take it home.
