Maureen and I became friends during our Masters program at University of Portland. She was a dedicated teacher and truly cared about her students. It grieved her that her health problems cut her career short. We shared a love of gardening and I will miss nursery hopping with her. RIP Maureen. I miss you.

Maureen was an active member of our neighborhood association in Lake Oswego before her health problems sidelined her. She was inquisitive and an excellent researcher who could produce detailed information about an issue within very short order, just like a good journalist would. She had great leadership potential that sadly was never able to be fulfilled. We miss her positive, enthusiastic participation and friendship.

I knew Maureen when we both worked at Willamette Savings and Loan in the early '80s. We spent time together at Forest Park and other Portland venues. Maureen had a joyful manner and was a positive person. I was so surprised and saddened to see the obituary for Maureen. Her kind soul will remain in my memories of her.
