Maryanne Wright

Maryanne Wright (née Clink), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, was born on September 18, 1924, in Portland, Oregon. She passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at the remarkable age of 100.

On November 3, 1945, Maryanne married Rodger James Wright, and together they created a family. She is survived by her children, James and Cheryl (Bob); her grandchildren, Erik (Heather), Ryan, and Adria (Warren); her step-granddaughter Jenny; and her great-grandchildren, Clara and Gianna.

Maryanne dedicated many years of her life as a private secretary at Blue Cross in San Jose, California, and later supported the principal at Alice Ott Middle School in Southeast Portland. In her retirement, she found immense joy in her garden, nurturing her plants with the same love she extended to her family. She was also a dedicated cook, preparing wholesome meals with great care.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Providence Hospice team for their compassionate care during her final year and to her dear friend, Debbie Millican, whose weekly visits brought much comfort and happiness to Maryanne.

Maryanne’s legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will forever be cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
