MARY A. GREENE

Aug 29,1934-Oct. 14,2021

Born in Fullerton, Nebraska to Albert and Thelma Johnson. Mary was one of eight children in her family. She spent most of her younger years in Fullerton growing up on the family farm until the family moved to Cozad, Nebraska. She moved to Oregon with her husband John Pelham in 1955 where she raised a daughter and six sons. She resided mostly in the Hillsboro and Beaverton area before moving to Portland until her husband passed away in 1976.

Mary spent her life raising her children and working at St Vincent hospital in Portland and Quarring Nursing Home in Hillsboro as a nurse’s aide. Later she worked at Tektronix and then Intel Corporation until she retired.

Mary re-married in 1979 to Ron Greene. They made their home in Gresham, Oregon.  They enjoyed square dancing, camping, and traveling together for family reunions.

Mary loved square dancing, scrapbooking and being a grandmother.  She was also a member of T.O.P.S in the Hillsboro chapter.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her sons Jim Pelham and Brad Pelham also two grandsons.

Mary is survived by her children Patricia Maller (Tom), Daughter-in-law Lily Pelham (Brad), Marlan Pelham (Nadine), Kevin Pelham (Dorothy), Charles Pelham, Chris Pelham, 19 grandchildren, also great grandchildren and several niece and nephews. Sister Joann Wood Portland, Oregon and brother Charles Johnson Tustin, Ca and her friend Marty Worman a dear friend for 57 years.
