Marilyn was born in Boise, Idaho, the oldest of 9 siblings for whom she loved to help take care. She was a loving and devoted older sister to each of them. Marilyn graduated from Ontario High school in 1963. After graduating high school, Marilyn moved to Portland, Oregon. She soon met Gary at a Catholic Youth Organization dance in 1965 and they instantly become inseparable. Lynne married Gary, the love of her life and best friend, in 1966. Lynne and Gary spent the next few years playing and watching softball, fishing, hunting, and spending time with life-long friends and enjoying time together. In 1972, they welcomed their first baby girl, Angela Mary Marino. In 1974, Nichole Michelle Marino was born and completed the family. The girls became the center of her world. Once the girls began school, Lynne decided to volunteer at Lincoln Park Elementary school in the front office and later at David Douglas High School in the drama department. She became an integral part of making the costumes for all the drama productions. Once both girls graduated from high school, Lynne began volunteering at Ascension Catholic Church and this transitioned into her working there as a secretary for over 20 years. Both Lynne and Gary retired in 2020 and began spending time traveling in their RV. They loved to visit parks all across the Western states with fellow members of the Good Sam RV club. Gary and Lynne would play multiple rounds of Yahtzee every night. Brownlee reservoir was their favorite RV, fishing, and hunting spot. They would spend at least a couple weeks twice per year with Gary’s brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Lenore and a group of ever growing friends. Lynne was well known for her crafting abilities and her love of scrapbooking, stamping, and hand-making cards. Gary and Lynne also loved to go on cruises with family and friends, whether it was to Mexico, South America, or Alaska.
