Lola “Pat” Ford

Pat was born in Albany January 10, 1943 and died at Meridian Park Hospital November 9, 2018. She ran a restaurant in later years, was a compliance officer as well as having responsibility for equipment maintenance.

In 2004, Pat was introduced to chuck Ford, by her daughter who was also his coworker. They were married that summer and purchased a home in Molalla, Oregon. After serving as part of the core team for Cornerstone Baptist, a new congregation in Salem, for several years, they became involved with Foothills Community Church in Molalla. Pat was involved with prayer and women’s ministries, especially.

Through seasons where her health complications kept her from regular church participation, Pat continued to live out her faith and to find encouragement in the scriptures and through teachers like Joyce Meyers. She and Chuck proved to be a good match and carried each other through her continued battle with congestive heart failure and his ultimately successful battle against stomach cancer. Pat broke her shoulder in 2016, and due to medical issues, the shoulder could not be replaced leaving her in pain most of the time. Surgery was at first not an option due to her heart condition but answer to prayer came in September 2018 when the surgery was successfully completed. Pat was finally out of pain and just months away from full recovery and a new chapter in life, when the Lord took her home; her heart finally giving out.

Pat is remembered for her faith in Jesus Christ that allowed her to meet death unafraid, for her love and constant concern and interest in all her family, her patient and generous personality, her fondness for her dogs, cats and turtles. She has a continuous satisfaction with the little things in life. She spent hours in her bible and devotionals as well as cooking shows on TV.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Ford, her brothers Leslie and Jack, her son Stevie (Denise); her daughter Lisa (Donovan), her stepdaughter Andrea (Terry), her stepson, John (Jennifer) 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

She is greatly missed
