Laurette “Laurie” Denise Pierce was born June 26, 1955 in Portland, Oregon. She passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022. Laurie attended Glencoe Grade School and Washington High School. She held various jobs throughout her life which included retail sales, a cleaning business, booking music acts in local venues, and caregiving.

She was also a caregiver for her late husband, Jonathan, who had severe health problems. She had many interests, some of which were gardening, taking care of her big dogs, embroidery, writing, and even singing in a band. Laurie was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Pierce. She is survived by her father Glae DeAun Douglas, her two sons Craig and David Preston, and grandchildren Cooper and Keegan Preston. Laurie was a kind and caring person who went through hard times and difficult struggles and was able to overcome them. She comes from a large family who will miss her beautiful glow and will always remember how her life touched ours. Laurie we love you and we will miss you.
