I knew Lara through a friend and though we saw each other only a handful of times, she made an impact each time. She was fun, funny, and daring! I treasure the funny stories I remember her telling, hands waving wildly! My heart goes out to those who knew her and loved her, she was very special.

Janis, Although it's been many years since I've seen you, we had the blessing of growing up in Mabelvale, and our mothers were friends and fellow "China Belles." I am so very sorry for the sudden loss of your daughter, Lara. Your Mom and I had a special friendship, and from the tributes it sounds like some of Lara's sass and spunk may have come from her. You must have been incredibly proud of her! I am praying for God's comfort and peace for you and all of her family and friends during this difficult time.

Oh, sweet beautiful girl. What a rich life you lived in your short time here. You look so much like your adoring mother. I don't remember meeting you, but through your mother's intense love for you, I feel like I know you. God be with you and keep you, and may our Lord comfort your loved ones with beautiful memories and hope for reconciliation in the hereafter. My heart is broken for you, Janis. How blessed we are as mothers to know and love our children as only we can. How shattered are we in our loss of that part of our hearts and souls. You continue to be on my heart daily, frequently. I pray for unexpected blessings, forgotten memories that will bring a smile, even a laugh. This will never be ok, but we are here for you in any way you need us to be. Love you, my dear friend

What a sweet mixture of kind and sweet with strong will and backbone was Lara. Quick with her stunningly and energetic smile for those she met; but never giving in to pressures which challenged her beliefs. She knew she held her folks (Larry and Janis) in the palm of her hand, just as they held her. But she never abused that great love and shared admiration. She was raised well, to have her own thoughts, imagination, strong sense of self and fortitude. God bless anyone who ever tried to corall her or her spirit. Blessings to Janis and Jimmy and all her sweet friends and family. We love you all.

Janis, we are so sorry for your loss prayers for you and her friends. George and I have many fond memories of Lara like the time when we took kid’s on a float trip and she was in our boat, the youth group had such a great time. We also loved seeing her when she came back to visit. She was a special person. Hug’s and prayers and much love.
