John Manuel Martinez Son of Juan Martinez and Jennie (Herrera) Martinez, Passed away July 25th 2017. Born April 22nd 1958, Phoenix Arizona.

I heard a song today that reminded me of him so much: (On the Wings of a Snow White Dove) It made me think of my brother. He was kind, sweet and always there for all of us. He has 8 sisters, Gloria, Lou Allen, Celina, Emma, Charlotte, Elaine, Crystal, Wendy, his Brothers John Weston who passed, Fred, and Monte. He grew up in Wyoming, and Boise Idaho, and had a good life, filled with adventures, playing with his cousins and family always with a smile, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved animals, he fed every stray cat in the neighborhood, every dog we had was his. He loved us all and had a special place in his heart for all of his nieces, and nephews he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was excellent with math, and could build anything with his own two hands, he worked with his father at a very young age and was gifted in anything he put his mind to do.

Everyone has their own special memories of Manuel that can put a smile on their face. He touched us all. For the last years of his life he and our mother were never apart, he was her right hand man, they spent every day together, she loved cooking for him, they did everything together, he mowed her lawn, threw her trash, built her a fence, a shed, went with her to get grocery’s, bingo, church, got the mail, anything she needed he did it and never complained. She is going to miss him so much. He was her First son, and the pride of the family, in so many ways. There will never be another one like him.

I imagine he is in heaven and I like to believe his soul flew away like a Snow White Dove. God is lucky to have such a strong, angel. He will be missed but never forgotten. Gone too soon, Loved by All, Thank you to everyone who traveled so far to show their respects and to be there for my mother, and her family.
