March 5, 1939 - December 26, 2016 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Jerry N. Hutchison passed away at Providence Portland Medical Center on Monday December 26th surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born to Carl and Elizabeth Hutchison on March 5, 1939 in Pasadena, California. The family soon moved to Jefferson, Oregon where Jerry enjoyed his young years. When Jerry was 16 the family moved to Portland where he attended and graduated from Grant High School in 1957. Immediately following graduation Jerry joined the U.S. Marines Corps. After 3 years of service Jerry found work at Seaboard Finance Company and began his career in finance. In 1963, Jerry become the branch manager in Everett, Washington and met the love his life Maureen who also worked for Seaboard. Jerry was transferred to Las Vegas in early 1964. He and Maureen decided to marry and make the move together. They spent a year and half in Vegas during which time their daughter Laura was born. In 1966, the family moved back to Oregon. Jerry went to work for the U.S. National Bank in 1967. He held many positions within the company before retiring in 1994 as the V.P. Credit Approval Officer. In April 1968 the family moved into their home in Milwaukie where they have resided for the past 48 years. Their son Eric was born in 1970. Jerry enjoyed many adventures with family and friends including the Johnson Creek raft races, annual camping trips to Anthony Lake, trips to Reno and 10 years of bi-annual trips their condo to Indio, California. Jerry also enjoyed golf, fishing and reading. He is remembered for being detail oriented and completing his lists. In the mid 1970’s Jerry served on the Milwaukie City Council and was always interested in politics both local and national. Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years Maureen; daughter Laura Haehlen; son Eric Hutchison; six grandchildren Ali, Brody, Cassie, Jade, Sammy and Oskar; brother John Hutchison and his wife Carolyn of West Linn; sister Jan Cena and her husband Jim of McMinnville.

There will be a formal service at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday February 17, 2017 at 2:30pm; please gather at the Administration Building at 2:00pm. There will also be a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday February 18, 2017 from 1:00-5:00pm at the family home in Milwaukie.
