Jeremy Lee Salsbury

1978 – 2022

Jeremy Lee Salsbury (Grant c/o ‘96) was born July 11, 1978, to Dennis and Donna. When Jeremy was 9 months old his mom met Ron Goodman who became his Dad. He went to school as Jeremy Goodman and went by Curly for his early adult years.

He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Rae Smith at 48 and his Aunt Jennifer Goodman Sabrowski at 61(Grant c/o ‘78).

He is survived by his parents Dennis Salsbury and Donna and Ron Goodman (Grant c/o ‘71); his sister Jessi Goodman (Grant c/o ‘98); his children Jeremy Salsbury Jr, Brianna Vaughn, Andre Salsbury,  Daejon Rose, Cheyenne Rose and foster son Asia Jones; his son-in-law Brad Burlington; his granddaughter Xana; his nieces Jessica and Reina; & numerous cousins, family & friends.

He spent summers at Seaside camping with family making memories and s’mores, riding bumper cars, playing arcade games and eating saltwater taffy. Summers were also spent in Grant Park making gimp lanyards and keychains, where Jeremy learned style after style, and became the acknowledged ‘Gimp Master.’

He spent holidays with family and friends celebrating Chanukah, Christmas, Halloween, and Thanksgiving.

Jeremy was active in Boy Scouts, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, Martial Arts, in the cast of the cable TV show KIDSTUFF, and wrestling throughout his youth.

He was artistic, athletic, and talented and loved rapping, shooting dice in the school halls, making music, and beatboxing.  He especially enjoyed the Lakers basketball team.

Jeremy loved playing games like poker and Cards Against Humanity and always loved to be the banker for Monopoly and write IOUs for his opponents as they ran out of money.  He and his friends would stack more than 10 decks of cards to keep games of War and Speed going for weeks.

He had a passion for fashion and always found the best hats and shirts full of humor and personality.

Jeremy was really good at making people laugh. He was very outgoing with a big personality and most of all a big sense of humor. His laugh was contagious. He would say laughing was natural medicine.

He loved and was loved as a son, brother, cousin, nephew, father, uncle, grandpa, grandchild, and friend.  He was taken away too soon.

He will be missed by all until we meet again. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.

Jeremy…you will always be loved and never forgotten.  You will remain in all our hearts, until we meet again.
