Born at Portland Adventist Hospital, Jennifer was the first of five siblings. Jennifer was a happy baby, with curly, dark brown hair like her dad. Jennifer attended Pleasant Valley Elementary School, just like her mom, and sang in the choir at Centennial High School before graduating in 1986. Jennifer worked for Dea’s In and Out in Gresham for many years. Family was very important to Jennifer. She loved gathering for every holiday, big and small, and was often the first to initiate holiday plans. She was a doting aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a beloved, daughter, sister, niece, and friend. Jennifer had an encyclopedic knowledge of animals, especially, and was always an integral member of any fantasy trivia game show team the family cooked up. Animals loved Jennifer, and she loved them, and always greeted each pet with scritches and affectionate words. Her brother’s dog Beesly would excitedly wag her tail when she saw “Aunt” Jennifer’s car pull up in front of the house. Jennifer loved tv, and was content to sit and watch while visiting with family. Game shows and animal documentaries were her favorites, as were movies. Jennifer had a biting wit, and her teasing sarcasm and love of puns and wordplay will Christmas was important to Jennifer, and she always did what she could to make sure that every family member had a little something. No birthdays or anniversaries went by without a thoughtfully chosen card from Jennifer. Since childhood, Jennifer has been very active with Job’s Daughters and Amaranth, in her church, singing on the worship team, and in the choir when it was active, and volunteered regularly with SnoCap. Jennifer went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 14th, 2022.
