In Memoriam of Jeannie Susan Nguyen

August 16, 1956 – January 30, 2017

After a long battle with cancer, the Lord called her home early Monday morning at 1:00 a.m. where she was surrounded by loved ones.

Jeannie was born in Portland, Oregon on August 16, 1956 to Amelia and John Allen, and was sister to Pat, Jim, John, and Robert.  She married Hoang and had two children, Sister Felicity and Alex.  Their 40 years together were filled with many blessings, especially during these last years.  She worked many years at the downtown Portland Post Office and was a great friend and colleague to those whom she worked with.  As a dedicated mother she gave everything to her children for their good and happiness.

She was a great person of faith and was someone who was gentle, kind, and compassionate towards others.  She always thought of others, their well-being, and put them first.  Her sense of humor also had a way of making others laugh.  Jeannie will be truly missed.

We love you Jeannie.  You were a beautiful mother, wife, sister, and friend who has left us with an example of how to love others.  May you rest in peace.
