October 26, 1934 - November 12, 2017 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends He was born in Nebraska on October 26, 1934. He was raised in Leavenworth, Kansas by his parents James Vivian and Mary Louise (E.C.) Oliver. He is survived by his wife Peggy Ann, his children Conley Oliver and Jennifer Willey (Jeremy), and 5 grandchildren. Jim graduated from Kansas University and the Instituto Tecnologico in Monterrey Mexico with degrees in Engineering and Architecture. He was a skilled architect, ahead of his time, featuring his own home on the cover of Sunset Magazine in May 1971. His artistry was utilized as a Master Train Builder of brass trains in HO scale. He and his wife, Peggy, travelled around the world to Australia, Asia and Central America. His interests were pursuing his love of steam trains, boats and cars. He loved photography, to scuba dive, and in his later years accomplished getting his pilot’s license. He was the original owner of a white 1965 MGB and proud to be a part of the Colombia Gorge MG Club with great friends. Jim was a talented, fun and spirited man and will be missed by so many.
