Jacqueline Muree Towers

October 20, 1928 – March 4, 2023

Jacqueline Muree Boock beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on March 4 at age 94. Jackie was born in Schleswig, Iowa to Ernest and Alvena Boock and was the youngest of six children.

The family moved to the Keizer-Salem area when Jacqueline was a child. She moved to Portland when she was 18.

Jackie married Frank H. Towers in 1949. They had 4 children. The couple divorced in 1966.

Jackie worked for First Interstate Bank, (Wells Fargo), for over 30 years. She retired at age 59 and moved to Pacific City, OR. After many years of living at the beach, she moved to Beaverton where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Jacqueline is survived by her children, Carolyn Christiansen, (Daniel) of Portland, David Towers of Portland, Douglas Towers of Vancouver and Jan Erickson of Salem. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Her siblings preceded her in death.

Family and friends will carry a lifetime of memories forever. Jackie will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Belcrest Cemetery in Salem. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Canfield Place. Thank you also to everyone from Signature Hospice especially her nurse Tania, and to her private caregiver Nayeli Osegudea for her love, compassion, and care during mom’s final days.
