Grayson passed away on 1/23/2018 @ 6:53pm surrounded by family. Cause of Death was Acute Upper
Respiratory Infection with unknown Bacteria or Virus complicated by multiple congenital abnormalities
involving the brain.

Grayson Alexander Curry was born in Portland, Oregon on June 15, 2015 @ 8:48pm to the proud
parents of Jessee Curry and Catherine Hernandez. Grayson was born a month early. His mother and
father, Maternal and Paternal grandmothers were present at the birth. The entire family was present
to welcome Grayson in this joyous event.

Grayson was loved by all of his family and the first grandson born. Grandpa Jamey was in love at first
sight as all of us were.

We learned early that Grayson was born deaf and had cortical blindness associated with his brain not
fully developing which also caused low muscle tone. Every milestone or sound was like music to our
ears. We all had hope for this sweet little bundle of joy.

Grayson was born with special needs that made him even more loveable especially to his grandmother
Susan who cared for him most of his short life. He touched her heart like no other ever can. Grayson
was the sunshine in his grandmother’s day. Grayson was a very special little boy, who touched
everyone’s heart that knew him.

Grayson loved to watch cartoons, and spend time with his family. He enjoyed trips to the beach,
especially, when he got to experience the warm water on his feet in the hot tub. Grayson enjoyed the
church campout and all the love and attention he received at these special events. He particularly
enjoyed it when his family would come together to celebrate his birthday.

Grayson is survived by his parents Jessee Curry and Catherine Hernandez; Paternal grandparents Jamey
and Kelley Curry, Kurt and Nicole Nuss; Maternal grandparents Joseph Hernandez, Jr and Susan Ison;
sister Paisley Olivia Jensen; Aunts and Uncles: Amanda Curry and Patrick Chernault with cousins Haylee
and Aaliyah; Breann Curry and Blake Raines; Brittany Curry and Rob Rambeau and cousin Camryn
Rambeau; Karena Curry with cousin Lucas Curry; Sean Ison and Emily Charmley and cousins Taylor and
Ellie Ison; Ryan and Kelly Ison; cousins Patricia and Brad Killinger, Tiana and McKenzie Killinger.
Grayson was preceded in death by Aunt Alexandria Nicole Ison.

Celebration of life held January 29, 2018 at Omega Funeral Home 223 SE 122nd Ave., Portland, OR 97233
Service and viewing begins at 1pm facilitated by Pastor Jim Brown from Open Bible Church in Portland.
Reception following service at the home of Susan Ison

Special thanks to Lori Ann Duggan teacher of the deaf, Wendy Hill occupational therapist and Darlene Daniels teacher of the visually impaired/deaf blind consultant from Columbia Regional Program for their care and endless dedication to Grayson.

Also special thanks to Britta Gurgel, physical therapist from Randall Children’s Hospital for her endless efforts and dedication to Grayson to improve his quality of life. Special thanks to Vanessa Figaro King for her love, care and devotion to Grayson on a moments notice.

Donations can be made to Columbia Regional Program or Randall Children’s Hospital. Cremation will be handled by Omega Funeral Home.
