George (Fred) Roentz

September 24, 1936 – June 10, 2022

George (Fred) Roentz passed away June 10, 2022 from complications preparing for heart surgery. He is survived by his wife Barbara, of 65 years, Sons David and Jerry, granddaughter Misty and grandson Jeremy, 6 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Fred worked at Freightliner Corp. on Swan Island from 1962 until 2003. He loved puttering in the garage and, in his early years, he raced motorcycles. After he retired, he and his friend John restored old British motorcycles. Fred’s ashes will be scattered at his favorite hunting place on the Elkhorn Mountains in Sumpter, Oregon.
