Mom As days turned to weeks, And months turned to years The mom I once knew, Faded within my tears Seeing you change, As each day did pass Not knowing what to expect, Or how it would last As words grew few, And silence grew more The mom i once knew, Stood before me no more All the blank looks, The occasional word, The sadness within, That couldn’t be heard You didn’t deserve That cruel disease Seeing you each day, Brought me to my knees R.I.P. So sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of visiting Gene and Frankie as a child. She was always warm and friendly.
