Ernest “Ernie Elder” Yourgulez III

August 19, 1979 – October 18, 2025

Born in Mountain View, California to Dinese Elder & Ernest Yourgulez Jr. Born 2 weeks early on a hot August morning, taking his first steps on his 1st birthday to our delight, at his birthday party.

Ernie came from California to Oregon at age 2, growing up in Boring. Enjoyed soccer and baseball, playing in Sandy, Oregon leagues while attending Kelso Elem., Cedar Ridge MS, & Sandy High.

His passion for skateboarding started at age 6, graduated to snowboarding Mt Hood, at 13.

His other talents included DJing around Portland in his 20’s, Glassblowing. working with many artists, in shops around PDX. A certified welder, he loved working at Vigor Marine Group, in Portland.

On the morning of October 18, 2025, Ernie passed away in Portland, Oregon at 46 yrs old.

He is survived by his parents, daughters, Lily & Iris, sisters, Frankie & Celia, brother, George Ian of Johnson City, TN, Grandparents Joanne Okeson of Enumclaw, WA & Jack Elder of Gladstone, OR. Aunts, Paige Elder, Frankie (Koni) Yourgulez. Uncles; Patrick Glover, Nicholas Ealy-Elder, & Joaquin Yourgulez. Encompassing loved step siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, great aunts & uncles throughout the USA.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Kyle Alexander Glover. Grandparents, Ernest Yourgulez Sr., and Celia Diaz Yourgulez.
