Elinor Sergeant was born February 9, 1921 in West New York, New Jersey to Ernest and Hilda Koeng.

Elinor met Wilbur Sergeant December 5, 1942 and they were married two weeks late on December 19, 1942. After Wilbur finished his tour in the Navy they relocated to Oregon, eventually settling in Parkrose.

Elinor worked for the phone company in Portland for a short time. Later she worked in the cafeteria at Parkrose Middle School. Here she made many lifelong friends. Elinor was active in many groups and extremely social.

In 2010 Elinor and Wilbur moved to Courtyard Fountains where soon after Wilbur passed away. With Elinor’s outgoing personality she continued to make new friends.

She is survived by four daughters. Diane Vasquez (Mike), Barbara Wiese (Les), Linda Sergeant and Debbie Sergeant. Six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

There will be a tribute to Elinor’s life at the Courtyard Fountains on March 25, 2016 from 3:30-4:30 PM. Family and close friends are invited.
