Eleanor Lucile (Harrod) Miller

September 30th, 1929 – October 13th, 2023

Eleanor Lucile Miller, 94 of Portland, Oregon passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday October 13th, 2023.

Eleanor was born September 30th, 1929, in Brinkley, Arkansas to Lee and Gladys Harrod. Eleanor grew up with 3 brothers Arnold, Donald, Jimmy, and 1 sister Louise. Eleanor was very dedicated to her faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She accepted the Lord as her savior when she was a teenager and became baptized at Glenwood Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee. She was a member of the Trinity Bible Church here in Portland, Oregon, up until her passing.

Eleanor married the love of her life Robert S. Miller on June 6th, 1953, in Farmington, Michigan, and they were married for 39 years before his passing on September 19th,1992.  Eleanor had a wonderful long blessed life with 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her children Jerry & Audrey Miller, Gayle Kraninger, Nephew Phillip, her grandchildren Valerie & Charles Holtz, Brody & Ashley Miller, Jackson & Jennifer Herman, Kory Kraninger, and her beautiful great-grandchildren, Calista, Camila & Cecilia Miller, Jacklyn Herman, Keegan, Kami, and Kolby Kraninger.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Gladys Harrod. Her siblings Arnold, Donald, Jimmy and Louise, as well as her husband of 39 years Robert S. Miller.

Eleanor will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery with her husband Robert.

The family of Eleanor wishes to thank Parkview Assisted Living for caring for our beloved Mother, Grand Mother, and Great Grand Mother. We would also like to thank our mother, Eleanors daughter-in-law Audrey Miller for her sacrifices over the past decade to make sure Eleanor had everything she needed and was healthy and content. This took a lot of patience and strength to accomplish and was a very generous and kind thing to undertake on behalf of our family.

A Memorial will be held for Eleanor by the family.
