I met Edith later in life when I married Ruth, her daughter when Edith was about 78 years old. She was always kind and easy to chat with about life. Usually, she would share stories of her youth, growing up in Pasco, Washington. It was interesting to hear what life was like in the 1940s, making home made ice cream, farm life, etc.. She also loved music and knew the words to most all songs from the "swing era." During road trips, Ruth and I would play those kind of tunes on the radio and she just loved to sing along! Edith will remain in our hearts forever more.

I always remember your mom having a great sense of humor and being very sweet whenever I was over to your house in high school. I am so sorry for yours and John's loss. I will always have sweet memories of her.
