Edith Mae (Doggett) Baker

January 18, 1931 – November 9, 2025

Edith Mae (Doggett) Baker, age 94, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, at Mountain Park Memory Care in Clackamas, Oregon.

Born Jan. 18, 1931 in the Tri-Cities area of central Washington, Edith graduated from Pasco High School in 1949. After graduation, she and her sister Luella moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue the next chapter of their lives.

Edith would eventually go to beautician school and take a job at Lipman-Wolfe in downtown Portland where she worked for many years.

In later years, the family would move to Woodburn, Oregon and she would have multiple jobs, including waitressing at several local restaurants. Later, she would work for the Aurora Post Office as a rural route carrier, eventually retiring from the post office in 1997.

Edith enjoyed long drives throughout the Willamette Valley countryside, giving affection to animals of all kinds, going to the Oregon Coast, and the occasional trip to area casinos and Reno, Nevada.

She is survived by her son, John Baker, and daughter, Ruth Baker Reis, as well as granddaughters J’Dean Meisner and J’Nyssa Baker, and grandson J’Rrett Baker.
