Donna Jean Krossman-Darling

July 23, 1955 – May 23, 2024

Donna Jean Krossman Darling (Compton) aged 68, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 in Bend, OR. Donna was born on July 23,1955 in Vancouver, WA to Clarence and Delora Compton. She was a proud resident of Lakeview, OR and previously lived in Portland, OR. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Portland, OR. She married Charles Krossman and had three children. She also married an additional three times. She worked for the Head Start, the Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife, and with the Veterans Administration.

Donna was passionate about Girl Scouts, Eastern Star, square dancing and loved dancing with The Country Cutups. Donna was a kind and spiritual soul who brought joy to those who loved her, and she will be deeply missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Delora Compton and brother Gilbert Compton. She is survived by her brothers Harold Compton (Cindy Compton) and Don Compton; daughter Heidi Bankston (Ross Bankston); son Daryl Krossman (Heather Krossman); daughter Kristin Pickard; granddaughter Nix (Jazmine) whom she raised, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 9, 2024, at:  13987 SE Richey Rd, Boring OR.  A benefit square dance hosted by the Country Cutups will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Girl Scouts of America or Boy Scouts of America, two organizations that were very important to Donna.
