Deborah Lynn Johnson

March 25, 1956 – December 9, 2022

Deborah Lynn Johnson died on December 9, 2022 of injuries resulting from being struck by a car in a crosswalk on November 26^th, 2022.

Deb was born on March 25, 1956. She grew up in Portland, Oregon, attended Chapman School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974. She studied early education at Western Oregon University. Deb‘s lifelong dream was to become a school teacher and a mom. While she never had children of her own, she was a loving aunt to her nephew John Hartford Geers and her beloved niece Savanna Koole.

Deb worked as a cashier in Northwest Portland and for many years assisted her former husband, Bruce Johnson, in running his carpentry business.

Deb was a generous and loving woman. If she had a dollar in her pocket, she would spend it on others. She is survived by her two sisters, Nan Wilder, of Portland, Oregon, and Patricia Ben Peterson of New York City. Deb was predeceased by her brother Andrew Peterson this past February. Deb is also survived by her brother-in-law Daniel Koole and her niece Savanna Koole, both of Portland, Oregon.
