Very sorry to hear of David's passing and my condolences to all who loved him. I met Dave in 7th grade and we had fun together for some years as good friends. There are many from the old neighborhood who have expressed fond memories of a friend from long ago and will miss him greatly. Rest in peace David

Dave was my secret grade school crush. I told him so at our high school reunions. With those smiley blue eyes, impish grin, and charismatic personality, he was a stand out in our class. In middle school, even though Dave was quite a rascal, he was often the “teacher's pet”. One day in Mrs. Noble's math class, while she was briefly out of the room, he told us to all stare up at the ceiling at a prescribed time until we got a reaction from the teacher. Sure enough, after her own puzzled examination of the ceiling tiles, she figured out what was going on, laughed and told us to get back to work. She glanced over at Dave with a disapproving look knowing he was the instigator but I’m sure she was laughing inside. Mrs, Noble probably even shared the incident in the faculty lunchroom that day! Dearest Dave, my memories of you will always make me smile, you scallywag!
