Cody Martinez

Cody James Martinez, 31, of Rockland Massachusetts was found deceased on August 25th, 2023.

Cody is survived by his father Jason, mother Kia, and siblings Melony, Joshua, and Sam.  He is also survived by his grandmother and lots of aunties, uncles and cousins

Cody’s smile could like up an entire room, and his heart was so big. He was quick to help, and loved hugs, and could make you laugh even in the hardest times.

He was an amazing artist, and he could engineer something out of nothing. He once used a potato and 9volt battery to conduct electricity to charge his Gameboy! And he build a windmill out of random scraps to power his cell phone. He was so talented and SO smart.

His compassion for animals drove him to want to keep every “pet” he found so he could help them, and his compassion for people drove him to want to help the homeless community he was part of when he was battling his addiction.

He loved his friends and family so much, but struggled with loving himself, which in the end, led to his heartbreaking and untimely death.

He was incredibly proud of his sobriety and the work he was doing to help people, and I know he would want everyone that loves him to know that he loves them and is incredibly sorry that he didn’t win this battle.
