Funeral Services will be held at Omega Funeral & Cremation Service, 223 SE 122nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon, October 12th, 2024 2:00 PM

with Private Interment at Jefferson Pioneer Cemetry, Jefferson, Oregon.

Clifford Sather was born August 27th, 1938 in Sacramento, California
His parents, Clifford Martin Sather and Ruth Amarilla moved to Portland when Cliff was a young boy.

He attended Grant Highschool, graduating in 1951 and then went on to study anthropology at Reed College and then at Harvard.

He married Georgeann Courts and had two children, Beth and Andy.

Cliff and his young family accompanied him when he embarked on his life work with the tribal people of Malaysia.

He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Korte, her daughter Marlee Frazier and her children, Ian Frazier, Kristi (?) Reid and Megan Cole. (?). Also, his daughter, Beth Sather and her children Andy and Ilona Pope.

My dad will be sadly missed by people all over the world, students and teachers alike.
We will remember his strong work ethic, his sense of humor and his scholarship.
