Cheryl Lee Nance (nee Savage) of Gladstone, Oregon passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, after a brief illness.

Cheryl was born to Norma Ann Savage (nee Parry) and Keith Aaron Savage on June 3, 1952, in Ely, Nevada. The youngest of four girls, Cheryl is survived by her three sisters Elaine Stevenson, Carol Savage, and Grace Savage. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In 1980, Cheryl met Paul Nance, the love of her life, they married in 1988. Cheryl was a devoted wife and mother (to humans and canines alike). She was known for her warm heart, wicked sense of humor, and for being a wonderful friend.

Cheryl was a bus driver for the Gladstone School District for many years; successfully maintaining calm in the face of chaos daily. Later she drove for Tri-Met, retiring in 2017.

Cheryl had a variety of interests:  baking; making ceramics; fawning over babies; spending time with loved ones at the Oregon coast; gardening; and dogs.

Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Paul. Cheryl had four children from her previous marriage to Ken Carlson. She is survived by her four children:  Kenny Carlson of Oceanside, California; Jodie Larroque (Rob) of Seattle, Washington; Brian Carlson (Janet) of Gresham, Oregon; and Matt Carlson (with whom she was sadly estranged for many years). She is also survived by grandchildren (Felicia and Truston), numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, Juanita Carlson and Yama Crandall.
