May 25, 1947 - October 29, 2024 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Charlotte Lyndelle Roberts, affectionately known as Lynde, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 77. Born on May 25, 1947, the majority of her life was spent in Portland, Oregon, where she created a rich tapestry of memories and connections that defined her remarkable journey. In her twenties, Lynde worked for Sarah Coventry, where she developed a passion for connecting with people. Later, she served as a federal guard for Rams Security, protecting the Bonneville Power Administration building in Portland. Her exemplary work ethic and commitment to her role earned her numerous accolades, including plaques and certificates, recognizing her as a model employee until her retirement. Lynde was deeply involved in her community through her affiliations with the Masonic Order, participating in organizations such as the White Shrine, Bethel, Daughters of the Nile, and Amaranth. She was also associated with the Episcopalian Church, where her faith and community involvement flourished. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life; she was known for her generous spirit, often bringing gifts to shut-ins and delivering supplies to veterans’ homes. A woman on the move, Lynde was actively engaged in her community, frequently attending events to support friends and neighbors. She was not only a loving mother but also a second mother to many, providing guidance and support to those around her. Lynde loved to decorate her surroundings for every holiday, bringing joy and cheer to her family and friends. She was also a fabulous storyteller, possessing the gift of gab that captivated those around her. Lynde is survived by her devoted daughter, Annette Roberts; her beloved grandchildren, Kaila Willard, Colton Willard, the five Wiese grandchildren; and a host of friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodrick (Rod) Roberts, her mother, Marguerite (Marge) Golling, and her daughter, Patricia (Michelle) Wiese. In accordance with Lynde’s wishes, there will not be a celebration of life, as she felt that the funeral for her mother, Marge, was a tribute for both her and her late mother. Lynde leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity reflecting Lynde’s commitment to service and community. Charlotte L. Roberts
