Charles D. Davis

1953 – 2020

Charles D. Davis, also affectionately known to various people who loved him as Dad or Papa, Charlie, Chuck, and Char, lost his valiant battle with the coronavirus on May 13 after almost a month in the ICU. Two of his children, Sean and Tiffani, were with him at the end.

He was born on June 17, 1953 to Louise and William Davis in Portland, Oregon. He attended Benson High School, and Mt. Hood Community College.  He worked at Pella Windows, formerly Viking, for 34 years, where he was a valued member of the manufacturer’s team. One of his older sisters, Mary Lambert, survives him, along with several cousins. And somebody he referred to as wife, Hanna, sharing life and fortunes since 2001.

His three children, Monika, Sean, and Tiffani, were the loves of his life, and he always had time for them. Charlie loved the ocean, and exploring the coast of Oregon and Washington with camera in hand.  Photography and magazines about it occupied his spare time for the past few years, but from the time they were young children there were great adventures with his best friend, Cliff, which Cliff will be sharing on his post. Rockets, hot rods, gazing at the night sky through a telescope–happy times of companionship and learning.

He will be missed by many.
