Brigitte Maria Weitz

December 13, 1954 – February 04, 2024

Brigitte Maria Weitz, 69, of Oakville, Washington passed away on February 4, 2024 at the Oregon Health and Science University Hospital in Portland, Oregon with her husband Mark by her side.

Brigitte was born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 13, 1954.  She moved with her parents to Texas in 1961, and then to Washington in 1968. She married Mark on December 8, 1973 in Tacoma, Washington. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, and friend, Brigitte found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her nurturing spirit knew no bounds, and her love for her family was a guiding light that brought comfort and solace to those in need. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and cherished, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and understanding. She so enjoyed being a mother, a homemaker, and a wife.  She also enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping and fishing, and her gardening.

Brigitte was a beacon of kindness and a source of unwavering support for those fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the values of love, generosity, and selflessness. She touched the lives of everyone around her, creating beautiful memories that will endure through the ages.

Brigitte is survived by her husband Mark, her sons Harold and Terry, her granddaughters Davia, Alexandra, and Mishayla, her brother Matthias, her nieces Melisa and Jamie-Marie, her nephews Michael and Roland, and four great-grandchildren.

Brigitte was preceded in death by her parents, Donald A. Phillips and Ilse E. Phillips, her grandparents, Maria and Heinrich Reising, and her brother, Roland Phillips.

A private family celebration will be held at a date and place to be determined.
