September 15, 1944 - February 21, 2025 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Beverly Jean Moe (Hinman) passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 80, after a years long battle with Alzhiemer’s. Beverly was born on September 15, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska. She spent a few years in various foster homes before finding her special, Christian foster parents, Charles and Mary Yearout in Sunnyside, Washington. Beverly attended Sunnyside High School and graduated in 1962. She continued her education at Portland State University before embarking on a career that blended her love of business and family. Beverly worked alongside her husband, Charles Moe, at W.G. Moe & Sons and later co-owned Better Half Construction with her sister-in-law Georgia Moe. Beyond her professional life, Beverly was known for her warmth and generosity. She found joy in traveling, spending time with friends and family, reading, solving crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and taking walks. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she participated in Bible study groups and attended Powellhurst Baptist Church. In her younger years, she was involved with Campus Crusades For Christ. Later in life, she was able to visit Israel with friends as part of her spiritual journey. Beverly is survived by her beloved husband, Charles W. Moe; her son Michael Moe; her daughter Jennifer Anderson (Moe) and son-in-law Matthew Anderson, and her grandson Blake Anderson. She was preceded in death by her foster parents Charles Gordon “Butch” Yearout and Mary Bowman Yearout, her foster siblings Rev. Paul “Tex” Yearout of Yakima and Rev. June Baird of Sunnyside, as well as her mother-in-law Harriette Moe and father-in-law Wilford Moe. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 29, 2025, at 3:00pm at Powellhurst Baptist Church, located at 3435 SE 112 th Ave, Portland, OR 97266. Light refreshments will be provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Beverly’s memory. Beverly’s kindness, humor, and loving nature touched many lives.
