Ann Thacker

Ann Thacker, 69, of Portland, Oregon, peacefully

passed away on March 27, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with illness.

Ann was born on December 28, 1955, to Ernest Jordan and Joan Sutcliffe in Los Angeles, California. She grew up strong, opinionated, and deeply loyal to the people she loved. Her quick wit, dark sense of humor, and sharp honesty were trademarks of who she was.

Though Ann didn’t follow a traditional path of career or school, she was never lacking in purpose. She dedicated her time and energy to raising her family and keeping everyone grounded with her unique blend of sarcasm, strength, and occasional chaos. She was always herself — and people loved her for that.

In the late 1970s, she met and married Rick, her beloved husband, during a time when they both embraced life with boldness and fun. They raised three children together: Chris, Jennifer, and Melissa. Rick passed over 15 years ago, and Ann carried his memory with her ever since.

Ann loved paranormal documentaries, frog trinkets, telling wild stories, and most of all, being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether she was teasing you, surprising you with a one-liner, or calling out your nonsense, you always knew where you stood with her — and that was a rare kind of love.

Ann was predeceased by her husband Rick, her parents Ernest and Joan, and her sister Sally Jordan.

She is survived by her sister Mary Claytor, her brother Michael Jordan, her children Chris, Jennifer, and Melissa, her grandchildren Tyler, Ethan, Amanda, Justin, Emily, and Brandon, and her great-grandchildren Paisley and Graysen. Her legacy lives on in every story we tell, every laugh we share, and every truth she made us face.
