Obituary
Martha “Marty” Hargreaves was born October 19, 1946 to Beulah Jones in Portland, Oregon.
She attended Buckman and Washington high school. After graduation, she worked at Meier and Frank as an elevator operator. There she met Tilzer “T” Hargreaves, they married in 1969. When “T” was drafted, she moved to Texas to be with him.
After returning to Portland, they welcomed daughter Anne. Marty was an accomplished artist. Later in life, she returned to Meier & Frank (later Macy’s) to sell fine jewelry.
After retirement, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage…but still lived a full life.
In her later years she enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and watching cooking competition shows with her daughter. She also loved going on vacations with her family.
She passed away on Saturday, August 22 at age 79. She’s survived by her husband of 57 years, daughter, grandson William, and grand kitty Charlie.
