Obituary

Gloria never liked to be called mom; she wanted to be called Gloria (she spelled it Glorea for part of her life).  This was her name and who she was.

Born March 8, 1948, in Oelwein IA, to Jean Binning she had a tough childhood with an abusive/alcoholic father. She moved often ending up in Azalea, OR, where she went to Riddle Junior Highschool. Gloria found sanctuary at school with a school counselor in whom she confided.  In speaking to multiple people that knew Gloria as she grew up, she was a very popular, beautiful girl that was a very bright student.  A cheerleader, with straight A’s in high school, she was determined to make a name for herself.  Her younger sister Cher talks about how Gloria was essentially raising her when she was in high school.  Gloria met her high school sweetheart at Riddle High, and (as soon as she graduated high school) she moved with him to La-grand, OR, where she helped him finish school to become a veterinarian.  She married Pete.  In 1969, she gave birth to her first child, Tim at 21. She then moved with her husband (and baby) to Lake Arrowhead, CA, where together they opened their first veterinarian clinic.  This is also where they had their second child in 1971, a daughter named Brooke.

In 1972, with a thriving business two kids and a husband, Gloria had beaten the odds!

After 7 years of marriage, they divorced for the first time due to infidelity by Pete.  Only one year passed and she relocated to Astoria, OR, and her now ex-husband followed her, to re-marry, (with the Lord Jesus in church this time) and open their second successful veterinarian clinic together in 1975 in Astoria, OR.  This is also when she gave birth to twins Si and Manny.

Gloria was a stay-at-home mother of 4 and business owner which is to say that she literally needed to be doing everything.  Anyone that understands business and finance know that you are just as involved in everything as your husband.  The amount of work that Gloria was doing at this point in her life would have been unmatched.  We know this because the veterinarian clinic became very successful and this simply could not have happen without Gloria’s relentless work.

Her second marriage ended to the same man after another 7 years.  He proved to be weak minded and cheated on her again.  This time Gloria took her kids, a settlement from the business, and moved to Ashland, OR.

It was here in the summer of 1981 where she met a man (Steve) that was living in a tepee on the property that she was staying at.  They quickly fell in love, were married, and moved to Cedonia, WA, built a log cabin, and had a son named Ole in winter of 1982.

Then they moved back to New York (where his family was from), so he could work on his teaching certification. They had two more boys; Rhett in 1985 and Chace in 1986.

Wanting to be back near her other children, Gloria left New York for Oregon and settled in Roseburg where she put a down payment on a house.  In 1987, she had Cheyenna.

Gloria believed in Jesus and her husband did not.  As a result, in 1988, after 7 years, they were divorced.

Gloria had 8 kids with two men and helped them both start honorable careers.

As an adult now (about the same age as Gloria would have been), for me to imagine Gloria’s life at this point is overwhelming.  From her abusive childhood to three failed marriages with two men before she was 40 and 8 kids, I simply cannot even imagine what was going through her head at this time.

Within two years of leaving her second husband (third marriage), she met Phil.  Phil was her friend and she loved watching The Food Network with him.  In 1992, they had Cody, Gloria’s last of 9 kids.

Then in 1997, Brooke (26) (who by then had two kids of her own, April and Rain) was murdered on the beach in Seaside, OR. April and Rain now did not have a mother, and Gloria had lost her best friend and oldest daughter to the unthinkable.  Not a day went by for the rest of Gloria’s life that she did not think about Brooke.  She often talked about seeing her again in Heaven.

Back and forth between Astoria and Roseburg for the next 7 years, Gloria made a home with very little monetarily. I remember Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners where she would cook the BEST food with one cast Iron pan and an old oven/stove and everyone that was nearby would show up to eat.  As an adult, I have eaten at some of the best restaurants on the planet and Gloria’s cooking will always be the best (chicken and dumplings, apple pie, corn chowder, fish tacos, and Hawaiian chicken wings just to name a few).

In 2004, she moved to Oklahoma with Phil and Cody to watch some baseball for one of her kids.  She often talked about how much fun she had during this time.  Later, she would make multiple trips with Phil to Minnesota to do the same.  She was a gypsy in the best way and never wanted to be in one place, no matter how little of means she might have. I am forever grateful that she got so much joy in making these trips to watch me play.

From 2004-2024, there was never a year when I did not see my mother. She would either come to where I was playing or make the trip to Florida to spend time with the girls.  It never mattered how far away from us she was; she would always make the effort to get to where I was.  Everyone of Gloria’s kids can say the exact same thing about Gloria.  She always went to where we were.  She was on the move all the time in her life spending time with the family that she loved so dearly.

On Gloria’s birthday March 8, 2025, the doctors called me to tell me that her sepsis had spread and she needed surgery.  On the next flight, I landed in Eugene, OR, met by Rhett and Chace.  It was bad, needing two surgeries and the removal of 75% of both large and small intestines.  Additionally, during the second surgery, Gloria had a stroke.  I was told she had days to live.

The doctors (at least 5) were wrong.  Gloria (on TPN) lived for 18 months.  Over which time, she walked and talked again.  She got prescriptions glasses, got to watch TV, and even met a “boy” at her facility during Sunday church.  She got to call her family from an iPad daily.  She had multiple visits from Rhett, Annie, Chace, Brittney, Macen, Myla, Brielle, April, Axle, Trig, Roman, Tim, Cody, Cher, Ole, Collins, Bryn and Danielle.  All Gloria’s life she was never far from the people that she loved.  You all will forever hold a special place in my heart for the effort that you made to get to see Gloria during this trying time at the end of her life.

Family meant everything to Gloria.

Her brother Paul was always there for Gloria, and he loved her very much.

**Paul (small excerpt): “I myself went through many trials in my life, but Glorea was always there for me.  She was the most wonderful sister and kind woman I ever knew”.  ***

Cody loved his mother; he found a way to see her in the hospital multiple times.

Manny and Ben hosted her in Colfax, California.  Gloria enjoyed swimming there in the summer. They loved their mother.

Tim loved his mother.  He found a way to get to see her in the hospital.

Her sister Cher was with Gloria when she passed away.  I am forever grateful that Cher was able to be there with her sister so much until the end assuring that Gloria was never alone.

** Cher (small excerpt): “Gloria always made me rabbit cake and had dinner for me when I came home from softball games”.

She would always talk about April with a brightness in her tone.  She loved Gloria with all her heart! I am so thankful for everything that April has done for Gloria over the years.  She visited her many times in the hospital.

Cheyenna loved her mother; she visited her in the hospital multiple times.

Rhett was always there. He and Gloria made many road trips. Rhett’s daughter, Annie, was the JOY or Gloria’s life the last 5 years.  Rhett was with Gloria as much as anyone over the past 18 months.  He loved her.

**Rhett, (small excerpt): “Hello mother dearest, I know you’re up in heaven smiling down dancing in the clouds with Brooke and Jesus while Phil is somewhere close by lingering around.  It is sad to see you go, but I couldn’t stand to see you wait.  When I close my eyes, I can see the excitement in your face when I picture you walk past heaven’s gate”.  ***

Chace would do anything for Gloria.  His kids Macen and Myla grew up with their grandma. Brielle was a joy in Gloria’s life. Chace was with Gloria as much as anyone while she was in the hospital. Chace and his kids loved Gloria very much!

** Chace, (small excerpt): “Gloria could make any place, even a studio apartment, feel like home. Her passion was to hit the road and travel to visit family.  She could out cook the greatest chefs.  Her corn chowder, her dumplings, her pineapple chicken wings, her turkey divine, these weren’t just meals, these are memories that to this day, the thought of her cooking makes my mouth water” ***

Gloria flew to Florida to see Ole and his family (Danielle, Collins and Bryn) each of the last 10 years.  They went on Disney cruises, to the beach and out to eat often (lots of margaritas!). One thing was always consistent, even though she enjoyed these trips to Florida very much, she would ALWAYS talk about each of her kids as equals.

Collins and Bryn were sitting together in Bryn’s room when Danielle told them that Grandma GG had passed away.  The look on their faces makes me cry as there was nothing that anyone could do to stop this.  My girls got to spend an entire day with Gloria, having flown out from Florida just this past June.  We played cards, watched TV, and she got to show us around her “home”.

Ole was Gloria’s POA, SS Payee, and MPOA dealing with everything legal, financial, medical and otherwise for his mother over the past 18 months.  It was an honor, to be able to do everything I possibly could for my mother. I loved her so, so much!

In all the places that Gloria lived in her life, Astoria, OR is special. Although she liked “warmer weather” and loved going to Desert Hot Springs and Florida, only Astoria hosted all her kids at once.  From 1992-1996 these 5 years (when Brooke was still with us), meant all 9 of her kids (and grandkids) had Christmas in Astoria together.  Gloria cooked the best turkey with all the fixings, exploring forts, and spent time as an entire family.  These “vacations” are a core memory, and these GOOD times can never be taken away from any of us.  Gloria is home now with Jesus, symbolically resting next to Brooke at Oceanview Cemetery in Astoria, OR.  Gloria was the happiest at Christmas with all her kids in Astoria. This memory is preserved forever now.  She would be proud.

There was never a time in Gloria’s life that she would not do something to help any one of her kids at any time.  You needed a babysitter; this is who you called.  If you were sick and needed a place to stay, you came to her.  If you were fighting with your dad, you knew that Gloria would be there with whatever she had for you.  This is who Gloria was, for better or worse, and this is what true UNCONDITIOANL LOVE is.  She is no longer on this earth with us, but this is OK.  All of us here know that she is in a better place now.  She is dancing with Brooke and watching The Food Network with Phil without an ounce of pain or worry.  She wanted us ALL to know JESUS. I personally will live the rest of my life working to simply give it all away to causes that matter while living abundantly in the name of my mother Gloria. She beat it into our heads (all her 9 kids) to love God and that God has a name.  And that name is JESUS.

Philippians 2:10-11. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow—in heaven, on earth, and under the earth—and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

RHETT WROTE…

Hello, mother dearest, I know you’re up in heaven, smiling down. Dancing in the clouds with Brooke & Jesus while Phil is somewhere close by, lingering around. It is sad to see you go, but i couldn’t stand to see you wait.  When I close my eyes, I can see the excitement in your face, when I picture you walk past heavens gate. 78 and you are gone too soon! I wasn’t ready for you to meet the man on the moon. But now your spirits in full Bloom, in the arms of your maker like, full swoon.. & Jesus got a Warrior so the devil is doomed!  I know your divine and you’ll always be awesome! I will always love you and I’ll think of you often.  I started watching chopped champions and now i’m locked in.  i will miss you mother and you will not soon be forgotten. Nor our trips to sizzler, they said the salad bar is endless, and I still can’t see the bottom lol now ill see you when the sunlight runs across the shadows, in the first few shades of autumn & in spaces only daylight dares to fathom. In other words, I look forward to our reunion.  I know you’re in a better place, but I feel selfish for wanting you to stay, i can practically feel your hands on mine When I pray.  I can see you through my spirits window. there’s frost around the edge, but it’s clear in the middle.. i feel like we were robbed, its bittersweet,  too many questions without answers the timeline’s so incomplete! there’s so many riddles , but your legacy lives on in the littles! I feel blessed I got to see the way your whole face lit up when Anastasia made you giggle. You were by far the strongest And most resilient person I have ever met. I will always admire your adversity & I will cheish your love for US & especially for your grandkids always, and in all ways. In the words of our beloved brooke, I will “remember you comfortably, good company.” Until we meet again mother – loves always

CHACE WROTE…

Gloria Jean Guritz our beloved Mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

There are not enough words in the world to describe Gloria. Nothing I write could come close to doing her justice. The most important thing above all else, Gloria lived a life of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. A mother of 9 children, her life’s purpose was to make sure she got to heaven, and her family came with her.

Gloria could make any place, even a studio apartment, feel like home. Her passion was to hit the road and travel, to visit family. She could outcook the greatest chefs. Her corn chowder, her dumplings, her pineapple chicken wings, her turkey divine, these weren’t just meals, these were memories that to this day, the thought of her cooking makes my mouth water.

She loved her children, and her grandchildren. Traveling from town to town to spend time with all of her kids, on a stretched budget, she always made it work, even if it meant sleeping in her car.

She always told me her children were the jewels in her crown. She always told me faith was gold to God and even though we weren’t rich financially, we were all rich in spirit. She always said, “I’ll see you in two shakes of a lambs tail.” But that could have meant 5 minutes or 5 weeks, but it’s one of those things I’ll always remember. It didn’t matter if it were 5 minutes away or a 5 day drive, to Gloria it was “just a hop, skip and a jump.”

Gloria loved music, she would always stand up and start dancing to Michael Jackson or Clay Aiken, but she loved Keith Green’s The Easter Song; that was her favorite.

I could sit here and fill up a library with my mother’s life, but the most important thing to her was her faith, her message, and her devotion to the salvation of her and her family. In Jesus’s Name, mother, I’ll see you in two shakes of a lambs tail.

-The last year of Gloria’s life was a true testament to her strength and unwavering will. The doctors said she would never walk, talk, or eat again. Within days, she was doing all three. They had no idea who they were dealing with. Time and time again, she beat the odds, gaining enough strength to give her family a proper goodbye. She proved that, in God’s name, miracles are real.

CHER WROTE…

Gloria Guritz, my sister was six years older than me and born from a different

mother. My mother was very kind to her. She taught her how to cook fantastic,

yummy dishes, bake wonderful pies, taught her how to can fruits and vegetables,

and how to grow a garden and flowers. Gloria didn’t realize that my mother wasn’t

hers until she died in a tragic drunk driving accident that wasn’t her fault. Gloria

was there for me always, taking me to her cheerleader and football games. She

loved the Beatles music and she was very kind. When she married Pete Goza, he

was going to college at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Eastern Oregon in La

Grande, and Washington State University in Pullman, WA. There she had Timothy

Michael Goza when I was a sophomore and Gabriella Brooke Goza when I was a

Junior. I was their babysitter. She always baked a rabbit cake for me for my

birthday and always had dinner waiting for me when I got home from softball and

basketball games.

Then Pete became a doctor after he graduated and we went to Astoria for his

vet practice. She split from Pete and went to Santa Barbara with Tim and Brooke.

By then I had moved to West Hollywood, California and Gloria wanted my help

watching Tim and Brooke. Then she went traveling and I called Pete and he invited

me, my brother Billy, and Paul to come up and stay with him. Then Gloria came

back and Pete and her reunited and moved to Chino, California and invited me to

come. I did and I told her she’s going to have twin boys, and I could have one of

them. Later on, when they were grown up, she said I could have both of them.

When they were born, she called them Amos Manual and Benjamin Silas. They

were born March 7 th and then I joined the Air Force. She came to visit me in the

Air Force with Brooke and then through undue circumstances, she and Pete started

a veterinary clinic in Lake Arrowhead. I was always invited for Christmas. Then

they moved back to Astoria. Pete started another veterinary clinic, then through

other undue circumstances she took the kids to Ashland then called me up to help

her. I took the kids to school each day and was there for them playing games

outside.

Then Steve Sheldon came knocking at the door, they fell in love and moved

to Sedona Washinton where Steve built a cabin. Then she had Ole Sage Sheldon.

Then they moved to Owls Head, NY where Rhett and Chase Beau were born.

Furthermore, I got to know Great Grandma Rose and Grandma Cynthia as I

took care of Rose for a year in Bellmore, Long Island. Then Steve and Gloria and

the kids came back out to Upper Applegate, Oregon and invited me to house sit

while they took the kids back to NY. Gloria always invited me to holiday functions

and they moved to Azalea. Then Cheyanna Sioux was born and they invited me to

help them move to Roseburg. Then Steve got a teaching job in Winston. Then

Gloria got a job at the Sunset Bar and eventually got an apartment of her own

where all the children visited with her and stayed with her. Gloria was amazing

wanting Steve to believe in Jesus the way she did. She didn’t get along and found

Phil and eventually moved back to Astoria and had her 9th baby, Cody who had to

be air evacuated to Portland because of heart issues. I was there in Portland to be

with him at Emmanual Hospital. When he got well, Gloria and Phil and Cody went

to Astoria to live.

Gloria loved to travel and spend her time with all of her children who she

loved dearly. Then Brooke was tragically murdered on the beach in Seaside,

Oregon and everyone was depressed, however, Gloria knew Brooke would be

happy giving her parties, so everybody celebrated Brooke’s life for the next couple

of years at Cullaby Lake.

Gloria wasn’t the same and it wasn’t fair for the Roseburg doctors to

misdiagnose her. Her doctor was going to give her hip surgery, but she had sepsis

attacking her organs and the Roseburg doctors didn’t find it until it was too late.

She had to be rushed on her birthday, March 8th , to the Peace Health Hospital in

Springfield, OR where they did emergency surgery to remove part of her stomach,

uterus, and induce a coma to remove her gallbladder because they didn’t have a

surgeon available for that. The neurosurgeon said she would never speak right or

walk again. I said, “There’s power in prayer and miracles too”. He said, “evolution

says it’s impossible”. I said again, “There’s power in prayer and miracles too and

Jesus” and she started to speak after a few days.

She was given a blood transfusion that was flown down to Seattle to give her

a clean start in her situation, and they transferred her up to the Vibra Specialty

Care Center where she stayed for many months. Then she kept going back to the

hospital with infections from the TPN bag. Then she spent time in other hospitals

where food would get stuck in her stomach. She would have to get emergency

surgery and kept getting infections in and out of hospitals. She was glad to see her

ninth baby, Cody and Chase Beau and his son Mason Connor and his daughter

Myla, who arrived to see her at the same time, but did not know each other were

coming. Brooke’s daughter, April, Gloria’s granddaughter, came to see her at the

hospital. She started to recognize everybody. She spent all of her last year and a

half with these ongoing infections. The last infection they couldn’t stop. Doctor

Pham said they gave her the most powerful antibiotics in the world that still

couldn’t stop the infection. I was glad to be her advocate for her sons to talk to her

on the iPad and iPhone. It was very hard to see a strong woman as weak as a lamb.

I was glad to sing songs, praying, knowing Jesus would take her to heaven. The

very last day I prayed, “Father if it be your will, please take Gloria home,” and that

was on Saturday night, November 1 st . She died on early Sunday morning.

Finally, it was a real honor and joy to help my sister Gloria and to spend a

lifetime with her and all of her children.

PAUL WROTE …

WE LOVE YOU GLOREA, thank you for being the greatest friend, sister, and mother to all of us, FOREVER WITH JESUS NOW, Hallelujah!

Dear loved ones,

I apologize for the long letter, but it barely begins to tell the story of my amazing Sister, your Mother and Christian woman called Glorea!

I am writing this letter about Glorea who just left this Earth and went to be with Her Savior JESUS!  Thank GOD Almighty that Gloria is a

Christian and fully believed in JESUS CHRIST and His Bible,  the one and only Savior of Her’s and for the world!

She always stood up for the LORD and His Bible, she was always witnessing and pointing everyone to Christ Jesus. We will greatly miss her.

We prayed for her for 1 ½ years every day that GOD would heal her, but he decided in HIS Sovereignty to take her home to be with HIM!

The Good News is that she is now a million times happier with her SAVIOR in a perfect Heaven with her loved ones who went on before us.

Glorea knew for a fact that there are two roads in life, HEAVEN or Hell.  She chose the right path thank GOD!  There is no other way to HEAVEN!

I had the great and honored privilege of leading Glorea to the Lord Jesus and boy was she happy after she had found her SAVIOR!

Glorea Jean Guritz, age 78 passed peacefully into Heaven on Aug 3, 2026 in Portland Oregon. She was a faith-filled Christian and loving Mother,

to a blended family of nine children. A Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt to many Nieces.  Glorea grew up with 4 brothers and one

sister. Ron, Steve (Paul), Jim, Cher (Carol) and Billy.

She was Born on March 8 to James Guritz and Jean Bennings in Oelwein Iowa. Her family located to Englewood CA. when she was a young girl.

From there her family moved to Azelea Oregon, and then Riddle Oregon. She married her high school sweet heart Larry Pete Goza and shortly

afterwards had settled in LaGrand Oregon, where Glorea encouraged Pete in his studies as a Vet. After his completion she became his secretary

at their first successful clinic in Lake Arrowhead California. Later they moved to Chico CA, and then to Astoria Oregon and opened a Vet Clinic.

Glorea gave birth to four beautiful children, Brook, Tim, Manny and Silas (Ben). Glorea loved these children dearly and tried very hard to

bring JESUS to each of them,  She was very proud of each of these children.  After many good years of marriage and success they eventually

divorced due to Pete’s unfaithfulness. Glorea loved Pete so much, even after learning about his adulteress ways, that after counseling Glorea

was willing to give Pete another chance, and so they renewed their vows again, but to no avail later on.  The pain was unimaginable to her and

broke her.

Tremendous heart break came also to her entire family when her daughter Brook and a friend were both tragically murdered while at the beach.

The assailants fled to Mexico but were finally captured and sentenced.  Glorea tearfully stated at the trial that she forgives them, only

because God forgave her through JESUS CHRIST, and that He commands us to forgive those who trespass against us. This was extremely

difficult for her during this time.

After the divorce with Pete Goza and Brooks death, with so much grief, she drove south to Ashland Oregon where she met a Jewish man named

Steve Sheldon. They soon married and she began a new life with him. Having 4 more beautiful children, Ole, Chase, Rhett and Cheyanna.

Glorea was so extremely proud of Ole and his astounding and spectacular career in sports, his popularity and his marriage to his young wife!

She really adored Danelle and their two daughters, she was really crazy about this family, so happy that they are Christians!

She also was so proud of, and adored Chase and his love for her, such an excellent School teacher and she loved his children. She also loved her

daughter Cheyanna and her son Rhett just as much,  very deeply, and spent lots of time with both of them. She loved Rhett’s daughter Anatasia a lot.

When the children were still pretty young, Steve and Glorea ended up in divorce because Steve did not approve of Glorea raising the kids to believe

in JESUS AND THE BIBLE.

Unfortunately, over time, Steve refused to accept her Christianity into their relationship and have the Bible taught to their kids. Without Christ in the marriage, Glorea knew that their relationship was not going to last, but in the end of their marriage she had 4 beautiful children which she adored.

Later Glorea moved to Roseburg and re-married once again to Phil O’grince and had one more child, a boy name Cody. As usual Gloria had

the same love for her young son and last child, she really had no lack of love for all of them!

She ended up with 9 children total. Unfortunately the Covid virus and it’s vaccine caused Phil to pass away in his mid-fifties.

Despite all the pain and sorrows she went through, Glorea remained faithful to the true love of her life, the LORD JESUS!

She cherished the WORD OF GOD (the Bible) above everything else and always encouraged those around her to open their hearts to GOD’s

love and forgiveness for them. She wished more than anything that her children and grand children would come to know JESUS and to be

united with her one day in the KINGDOM OF GOD!

JESUS SAID: All things will pass away but My Words will never pass away.  JESUS SAID: If you continue in My WORD (The Bible) you are my disciples

indeed and you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free! JESUS SAID: I AM THE WAY , THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, no man comes to the

Father except by ME! JESUS SAID: I AM the LIVING BREAD which came down from Heaven, whoever eats of this Bread will never die but have

Eternal Life.

The Bible says: In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with GOD and the WORD was GOD, the Same was in the beginning with GOD!

And the WORD (JESUS) became flesh and dwelt amongst us as the only begotten SON of the Father, full of Grace and Truth!

For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!

JESUS SAID: Unless you are Born Again you can not see the Kingdom of GOD. JESUS SAID: Behold I stand at the door of your heart and knock, who

ever opens the door and let’s me come in, I will come into him and sup (fellowship) with him and he with me. If you confess your sins HE is faithful

and just to forgive you your sins and to cleans you from all unrighteousness.

I am so proud of Glorea,  In Riddle High School, Glorea tried out for Cheer Leader amongst many other girls and she wowed the audience!

To me, Glorea was really the most beautiful Cheerleader of them all. I was so amazed at how professional she was in front of the whole school,

showing her Cheerleading skills. She decided all on her own without anyone encouraging her to try out, she bought her own cheerleader uniform

and pom, poms and practiced at home regularly her routine including doing the splits which she knew had to be included.  I couldn’t believe how

popular Glorea was after she won this highly coveted position! Only 5 girls were picked out of many.

Glorea’s popularity was off the charts, even I started getting popular because everyone knew who she was and I was her brother. This was so

wonderful, exciting and so much fun too. I hung around Glorea and the other Cheerleaders, I owe her a lot for all she ever did for me.

Glorea went through so many trials at home with our alcoholic father over the years, and yet became a leader and winner with her amazing

report cards of pretty much all A’s and her constant involvement with sports.

Later in life Glorea forgave her father for all he had done to her and tried to witness to him about Jesus.  She showed a lot of love and kindness

to her father and to all those she associated with.

I myself went through many trials in my life, but Glorea was always there for me.  She was the most wonderful Sister and kind woman I ever

knew.  Her and I were extremely close and we adored each other immensely! I could never write all the kind and great things Glorea did for me

and for others in our family. I would have to write a book on her cooking skills, love she showed to so many, and how she adored her kids.

While in California, GOD called me to preach the Gospel, and with Glorea asking me to come to Astoria to start a Christian work for JESUS, I took

her up on it. We had a successful Mission and won many to the Lord Jesus and Glorea was always backing us and was very involved all the time!

When I was a little boy, Glorea was always there for me, and for her other siblings. I will never be able to say enough about this Glorious Glorea!

I can’t wait to see her in Heaven some day and live forever with her and our brother Bill who is there too,  and hopefully the rest of our family

and friends. I know that my wonderful sister Cher, the aunt to Glorea’s kids will be in Heaven too….she is a great sister and Christian too!

I deeply regret not being able to fly out to Oregon from Tennessee to attend Glorea’s wake, due to my personal medical issues, the time and

expenses involved,  I also am acting as the full- time Hospice care giver for one of my longest lasting friend, who has stage 4 cancer and must

attend to his needs around the clock. Please forgive my absence.
