January 27, 1956 - March 2, 2024 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends James Lewis, who had many names, from Jim to Jimbo, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. Jim was born as the fifth child of Arthur and Mildred Lewis on January 27, 1956. Jim had four older sisters that doted on him. Maxine Massey, (deceased) Dolores Siedelman, Billie Ostreim and Beverly Spurgeon. Jim is survived by his partner, Kathy, his four children, Stephanie, JR, Jennifer and Calista. Grand children: Trenton, Keegan, Olivia and Leela plus nephews and nieces. Jim lived most of his life in the Rainier area. He was an entrepreneur, trying his skills in different areas, including driving his log truck, doing auto repairs and sales and later home repairs. Jim and his partner Kathy Kendig worked together repairing houses in Columbia county. He enjoyed relaxing to music, playing cribbage and reading his Bible. Jim truly loved the outdoors, collecting friends, artifacts and stories along the way. One of his biggest tales is when he went halibut fishing in Homer, AK with his nephew Brian and brother-in-law Larry. The last day Jim landed the biggest halibut on the boat and another group tried to claim it. One hundred pounds of fish fed all three families for a year! A big fan of drag racing, he bracket raced In his younger years at Woodburn with his Ford Fairlane and Mustang. He followed NHRA and NASCAR, his favorites were funny cars and top fuelers. A Celebration of Life will be held May 18, 2024 – 1:30 p.m. Beaver Valley Grange, Rainier, OR Please join us and share a story. Dessert and coffee to be served.
