Curtis Jenkins

Curtis Jenkins, age 63, passed away Thursday, January 4th, 2024, in Portland, Oregon. His celebration-of-life service will be held Saturday, January 20th at Bible Believers Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Oregon.

He was born on January 14th, 1960, in Paris, France to Sherman and Dorothy Jenkins. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he had a successful career as an electrician for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He married Grace Valente on July 30th, 1983, and went on to raise 3 children. After their children had grown up and moved out, they moved to California, then later to Oregon. They both became heavily involved in the local veteran and church communities, giving help and support whenever possible to their ever-expanding circle of friends and extended family. In his spare time, Curtis enjoyed sharing quiet afternoons with his wife; building and working with computers and other electronics; taking care of his support dog, Ivy; and playing video games with his best friend and brother, Gene. Curtis also loved to travel, making new friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Grace, and their 3 children, Chris, Jen, and Brandon.
