Obituary

Teresa “Terri” Lynn Bristow, 65, left us far too soon. Born in Vancouver, Washington, on February 11, 1961, Terri made her home in Portland, Oregon, where her warm heart and bright spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. While she fought a courageous battle against cancer, it was a sudden upper respiratory infection that took her from us all too quickly.

For 21 years, Terri was a dedicated and valued employee at Leatherman Tool Group, but her true life’s work was her family and the absolute joy she brought into the world. Our Mom was a kind, empathetic, and truly gentle person, a delightfully eclectic soul who lived for good music, great movies, a good book, and a craft project in the works. She had an enduring love for Garfield’s witty antics and a lifelong devotion to the King himself, Elvis Presley.

Above all else, Terri loved her three children fiercely. She was a giver by nature, always ready with her time, thoughtful advice, surprise gifts, or one of her legendary hugs. If you needed something, Terri made sure you had it, usually accompanied by her quick laugh and contagious smile.

Terri taught us to find light in the quiet moments, laugh often, and give generously of ourselves. Though she left us much earlier than we ever wished, the love she poured into her family and friends will stay with us forever.

Terri is survived by her three children and five grandchildren, who will forever carry her gentle spirit, humor, and endless love in their hearts.
