Serleen Soulik, 49, passed away at 10:07pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the S.D.A  Emergency Hospital due to a sudden brain bleed. She was surrounded by her husband Carl Diopulos, their 3 daughters; Delaney, Kalanie, and Kassie Diopulos and with other family members during her last moments.

 

Serleen was born Nov. 25, 1972 in Pohnpei State Hospital. She had her oldest daughter Delaney in 2003, her second daughter, Kalanie in 2006 and her last daughter, Kassie in 2009 with her husband Carl Diopulos. They officially married in December of 2012. During that year Serleen decided to go back to school to get her CNA 1 and 2 at Mt.Hood Community College. She worked as a CNA for many years and ended her life working as a caregiver at The Cottages: Senior Living in Portland, Oregon. Serleen was a devoted church member of the Rockwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

 

She was predeceased by her parents; Florence John and Alik Soulik, and her oldest brother, Smither Smith. She is survived by her husband, Carl Diopulos, her 3 daughters Delaney, Kalanie and Kassie Diopulos, and her 2 younger siblings; Merleen Soulik and Alik Jr. Soulik.

Serleen was a dialysis patient for over 6 years and had been in and out of the hospital during that time. She was fighting a battle that not many knew about, and yet she lived a life of selflessness with a kind heart and soul for others. She was a loved mother, sister and friend and her memory will live on forever with those around her.

 

Her funeral service will be held on June 17, 2022  at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 11:00 am for any family and friends who would like to say their final goodbyes and pay their respects. Her burial will follow at the  Columbia Pioneer Cemetery.
