November 4, 1977 - April 23, 2016
On Saturday, April 23, 2016, Maria Elisa (Stogianis) Suh passed away at home with her family after an extended battle with cancer. Maria was born in Vancouver, Washington on November 4th, 1977 to Vasilios «Bill» and Jean (Hagen) Stogianis.
Maria graduated with honors from Prairie High School in Vancouver, Washington in 1996 and attended Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. She married Al Suh on October 25th, 2008. She was as an Office Manager with Oregon Iron Works and finished her professional career at Providence Milwaukee Hospital in the Quality Management and Medical Staff Services.
Maria enjoyed traveling, collecting art, and loved anything pink or Hello Kitty. She was equally happy trying a new restaurant or a different food cart. However, Maria’s favorite activity was spending time and chatting with friends and family. Her ability to console, energize, entertain, motivate, and instigate good-natured mischief in her lifelong friends as well as perfect strangers, was remarkable.
Maria is survived by her parents and husband; her brother and sister, Brian and Anastasia Stogianis; and her many wonderful nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Maria are invited to celebrate her life at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 11005 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver, WA 98686, from 11am – 2pm, on Saturday, May 7th, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Oregon Dog Rescue, the American Cancer Association, and the ASPCA.
