Warren Habluetzel

September 8. 1939 – April 1, 2020

Warren Habluetzel age 80, died peacefully at his home on April 1, 2020 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Warren was born on September 8th, 1939 in Portland Oregon to Marguerite and Adolph Habluetzel. He graduated high school in Milwaukie, Oregon and began working in the flower business with his father at Adolph’s Flowers. In 1969 he bought the business and had a successful a career as a professional florist until he retired in 2005.

During retirement Warren was able to enjoy his beautiful home in Skamania Landing maintaining a lovely yard while enjoying many rounds of golf at his local course, Beacon Rock Golf Course. Especially rewarding were the cherished relationships that were formed with his close friends on the Landing; many world problems were solved on Warren’s deck over the years. Besides golfing and being a natural artist taking care of his yard, Warren also treasured the relationships he had with his lifelong golfing buddies.

Warren is survived by the love of his life Sharon Habluetzel, 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and his cute little dog Snickers; named after the amazing cookies Nana Habluetzel bakes.

Warren was an amazing son, father, grandfather, friend, neighbor, and the best husband to Sharon. He will be deeply missed by everyone that had the privilege to know him.

Warren’s family would like to thank all of these friends and family for the support and love at this time.  Others to thank is the entire team at Providence Cancer Institute, but especially Dr. Rachel Sanborn for the care and respect he received during his treatment. There are so many to thank, but the family especially appreciates the service that the Heart of Hospice provided.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
